Intro to Bread Making

2-hour class - $45

In this fun and therapeutic beginner’s class, no experience or special equipment is required. You will learn the basic steps to a successful loaf of bread. You will learn about yeast, mixing to the right consistency, different methods of kneading, fermentation, proofing, shaping the dough, and baking. We will have samples to try, and everyone will take their dough home to bake.

Pizza Dough Class

This class is so fun and easy, that you won’t want frozen or take-out pizzas again! Learn how to make a delicious yeasted pizza crust that you can even make ahead of time by keeping it in the refrigerator or freezing for later use. We will learn the correct hydration in mixing the dough, kneading by hand, proofing, shaping, and baking. This dough is very versatile. You can make bread sticks, cheese sticks, and calzones to name a few. We will have a tasting and each student will take their dough to bake a 10” pizza at home.

Biscuit Class

2-hour class - $45
Date: TBD

This hands-on Southern biscuit class will show you how fun and easy it is to make your own Southern biscuit. After this class, you will never want to buy canned biscuits again. We will cover the different flours and leavenings of a good, layered biscuit. You will learn the different laminating techniques of a good biscuit. We will have a sampling of the biscuit recipe and each student will take home the recipe and biscuits they made in class to bake at home.
